Guohua Xia, affectionately known as “Mr. Shaw,” is a classically trained violinist with over 25 years of violin and viola teaching experience. Throughout the years, he has brought the gift of music to over 500 students from ages 5 to 65.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the Shanghai Conservatory and a Masters of Music from the University of Fairbanks. Mr. Xia has performed extensively as an orchestral player and chamber musician with various groups including The Shanghai Ballet Orchestra and The Juneau Symphony.
